Credits
Credits pay for what an export carries out of the editor. They are charged when an export succeeds, and only for what has not been paid for before. The one exception is an AI head in 3D, charged when you start it.
What costs credits
A new garment costs 10 credits, whether it came from files, a ZIP, the catalog or another ped. A new head is a garment in the head category and costs the same, and so does a copy of a garment: tattoos, hair colours, a face shape or an optimization the copy carries are counted for it as for the original.
A reshaped face costs 10 credits per head.
A face created from a photo costs 50 credits per head, instead of the price of a reshaped face: the head is charged once, whichever way it was shaped, and moving its sliders afterwards costs nothing more.
Hair colours made with Hair colours cost 10 credits per started 4 variants on each garment: up to 4 colours cost 10 credits, and the next 4 as much again.
Tattoos placed with Tattoos cost 10 credits per started 2 layers on each garment. The skin under them is free.
A garment optimized with Optimize or under Optimization costs 3 credits when the export succeeds, once per garment, however many times you optimize it. If you restore the original before the export it costs nothing, and the quick fixes are free.
A ped made smaller or larger with Size costs 200 credits when the export succeeds, once per project, however often you change the size. Back at 100% it costs nothing.
A ped made heavier or thinner with Build costs 50 credits when the export succeeds, once per project, however often you change it. Back at normal it costs nothing.
What is free
Eyes, skin tone, face pictures, textures and texture editing, variants from files, copies of variants, shape mode, Optimize’s quick fixes, repairs, removing and moving are free. A new variant made with Save as a new variant in the texture editor is the exception: it counts as a hair colour. The base’s face, hair and body are free, with their face shape and hair colours. The export costs nothing in itself; what it carries does.
Tip
You get 25 credits the first time you sign in and 25 credits more when you verify yourself in Pedify’s Discord. The guide Your account shows how.
Paid and failed exports
What is paid for stays paid for. A garment exported once can be exported again as often as you like while it stays in the project. For hair colours and tattoos you pay only the difference: going past what is paid for costs only the next started group, not the whole count again. Removing something gives no credits back.
An export that fails costs nothing. The credits are charged once you have chosen where to save, just before the files are written, and given back if writing fails or is cancelled.
